About Us
About Practix — Built on Innovation,
Integrity & In-House Excellence
At Practix, we believe that the best machines are built from the ground up—by engineers who care about every nut, bolt, weld, and circuit.
Our Story
Jozef Pracko—trained as a mechanical engineer in Czechoslovakia—dreamed of creating machines that would perform reliably and stand the test of time. In 1979, he and his wife, Milada, made the courageous choice to leave behind a constraining regime and seek a new beginning. After a time in refugee camps and humble work, Jozef built his first fusing machine in his garage. That first sale—to Fisher-Price—marked the start of Practix.
Through decades of grit, innovation, and teamwork, Practix has grown into an industry leader in heat transfer, embossing, laminating, and fusing machines. Today, we operate from a 40,000 ft² U.S. facility, employing skilled engineers, machinists, welders, and technicians—with no outsourcing. Everything from fabrication to painting to final testing is done under our roof, giving us full control over quality and consistency.
